Online Sports Betting: 3 takes on Maryland's new gambling platform
Mobile sports betting has been legalized in Maryland since November 23rd. Three more state-approved sportsbooks are coming soon. In most markets, more than 70% of sports gambling is done online. Last January, $1.7 billion was wagered on sporting events in New York. Tom and Bennett talk about the new law and the state of other mobile sportsbooking in other states. Rob White, a professional counselor and director of the Maryland Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling, talks about his concerns with making gambling so easy and accessible.
