Orlando Magic, Orange County Public Schools Team Up To Encourage Reading to Youth

Orlando Magic beat Golden State Warriors on Thursday night. Less than 24 hours later, the Magic's players replicated that spirit and excitement. This time, it was sparked by something the team has deep investment in throughout the Central Florida community.

Carter went to Duke and Harvard. He encourages kids to put their education first. Orange County Public Schools and Orlando Magic are teaming up to promote reading to children. The annual Pick, Read & Roll program rewards students with the greatest reading improvements with an exclusive kids-only event at Amway Center. The program measured the growth and improvements of each student’s reading skills over the course of the 2021-22 school year. Since the inaugural event in 2019, students at the participating Title 1 schools achieved a 30 percent increase in their reading scores.
