OU football: Jacob Sexton needs big game for Sooners vs. Florida State
The Cheez-It Bowl is a chance for Oklahoma to end a difficult season. Florida State is looking for their first 10-win season since 2016. A win would help OU avoid its first losing season in 20 years.
Jacob Sexton is expected to start at left tackle for Oklahoma against Florida State. Tyler Guyton is listed as the starter at right tackle. Florida's edge rusher Jared Verse is one of college football's best. He has 14.5 tackles for loss and 7. 5 sacks this season.
Jordan Travis has been phenomenal this season, throwing for 2,796 yards and 22 touchdowns with just four interceptions. C.J. Coldon has interceptions in each of the last two games for the Oklahoma Sooners.
The Seminoles have allowed 158.9 passing yards per game this season. Only Texas A&M has allowed fewer. No team has thrown for more than 243 yards against Florida State this year.
