He may not have the numerical firepower of an Aidan or Joseph O’Brien but Paddy Twomey is further cementing his place among the leading Irish Flat trainers as each month passes.

Twomey has an irresistible Irish strike-rate with +55.30 profit for a €1 stake on all his runners here in the past five seasons and the Tipperary-based trainer arrives to Naas tomorrow on the back of his last two runners both obliging.

The Cork native saddles a sole chance this weekend with King Cuan boasting major claims in the Irish EBF Auction Series Race Final (2.15) as the Tasleet colt eyes a hat-trick in the €120,000 contest.

Billy Lee’s mount was a close fourth on his debut at the Curragh in May before scoring at short odds in Cork at his ease and then adding a valuable prize at this course last month.

Uluru, making his first start for Joseph O’Brien, rates a danger having bolted up on debut at Gowran Park when trained by Kevin Coleman before being snapped up by Team Valor but Twomey can continue his winning ways.

The closing Colm White Bookmaker November Handicap (5.10) is as interesting as ever with leading Flat trainer Willie Mullins sending four into battle but he may be outdone by nephew Emmet.

While Teed Up stands at the top of the weights, stablemate Filey Bay is an intriguing runner with the talented hurdler more than capable of landing a blow under Jamie Powell if on a going day.

Elsewhere, Jessica Harrington will have her eyes on the US tonight as Sounds Of Heaven goes for the Grade One Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup (10.16) at Keeneland.

Shane Foley’s mount faces a stiff task, however, with English 1,000 Guineas heroine Mawj (the only horse to have defeated the brilliant Tahiyra) the top billing in the €600,000 contest under Kerry native Oisín Murphy.
