Padres vs. Dodgers NLDS Game 2 starting lineups and pitching matchup

The Dodgers beat the Padres 5-3 in Game 1 of the National League Division Series on Tuesday. Game 2 is set to be a showdown between Clayton Kershaw and Yu Darvish on Wednesday. The series goes back to San Diego for Game 3 on Friday.  

Game 2 of the NLDS starts at 8:37 p.m. ET and is broadcast on FS1. All games are available in the US on MLB.TV.

Darvish won NL Pitcher of the Month in September. Darvishes made history when he recorded his 3,000th career strikeout between Japan and MLB. Kershaw will start for the Dodgers in Game 2 against the Padres.

Josh Bell and Brandon Drury are likely to start for the Padres in Game 2. The Dodgers are going to stick with Trayce Thompson in left field. Yu Darvish is a good pitcher against left-handers.

The Padres are hoping for more from their starter, Yu Darvish. The Dodgers leaned heavily on their bullpen in Game 1. Alex Vesia could be unavailable for Game 2. Evan Phillips threw 26 pitches in the Game1.

Padres and Dodgers are playing in the NLDS Game 2. Grisham has driven in runs in all four postseason games. Turner was the offensive hero in Game 1. Betts and Freeman went a combined 0-for-7 with a walk in their team's Game1 loss.

Darvish and Kershaw were teammates in Los Angeles in 2017 and catch partners during the offseason in Texas. Darvishes lost the 2017 World Series against Houston. He will be making his first postseason start at Dodger Stadium since he lost Game 7 of the World series.
