Panthers vs Wild Picks, Predictions, and Odds Tonight

The Panthers have been red-hot offensively and the Wild... have not. As we break down in our NHL betting picks below, Florida should be able to turn that offense into a win on Monday night.

Despite coming off of a loss, the Florida Panthers have been playing some very strong hockey. And while the Minnesota Wild may have won their most recent game, they have not looked like the team that they're capable of being.

The offensive production couldn’t be more opposite for these teams right now. The Cats are looking electric thanks to their second line and the Wild need all the help they can get.

See how this matchup plays out in our NHL betting picks for Wild vs. Panthers below.

Panthers vs Wild picks and predictions

Carter Verhaeghe, Sam Bennett, and All-Star MVP Matthew Tkachuk have been leading the way for the Florida Panthers as they've combined for 22 points in their last five games.

This team has consistently been the best in the league at generating offense. They lead the league in high-dancer chances and shots on goal per game and have scored 21 goals over that same five-game span.

The Minnesota Wild have only scored one goal at 5-on-5 in their last three games and eight total goals in their last five games so they aren’t posing much of a threat at the moment.

Sergei Bobrovsky is the expected starter for this game and he enters tonight with wins in three of his last four starts. His numbers haven’t been all that impressive this season (14-14-2 record, .903 SV%, 3.13 GAA) but he is fresh off of a 45-save performance.

Putting Bobrovsky’s numbers aside, the Wild offense has been very quiet lately as the Panthers continue to buzz. Give me Florida in this spot.

Panthers vs Wild moneyline analysis

The Panthers have gotten the best of the Wild in recent history, winning each of the previous four meetings dating back to January 2020.

The Panthers have become a Top 10 offense in the NHL, while the Wild have dropped all the way down to the Bottom 10. In my mind, the goalies in this matchup cancel each other out whether it's Bobrovsky or Spencer Knight for the Panthers and Filip Gustavsson or Marc Andre Fleury for the Wild.

The Minnesota Wild are a mess at 5-on-5 right now and rely heavily on Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello to produce for them. They aren’t getting much secondary scoring while the Panthers are getting contributions from up and down their lineup.

Florida is averaging 3.47 goals per game and with the way the Wild are playing right now, I don’t think they'll be able to slow them down.

Panthers vs Wild Over/Under analysis

This is a tough one to pick a total for because the Panthers have been playing in a ton of high-scoring contests, but the Wild have been the complete opposite.

The Panthers and Wild are considered middle-of-the-pack defensive teams, so I don’t see this game being very low-scoring, especially at the rate at which the Panthers are producing, but as good as their offense is, they allow 3.44 goals against per game. This could be a great opportunity for the Wild to get out of their slump.

Minnesota’s power play has been a positive as it's converted in four out of their last five games, but they need to produce more at 5-on-5. I don’t love the total in this game, but I'd lean towards the Over if needed.
