Brandon Belt is a free agent. The Giants are not expected to push for a reunion with him. Belt has played for the Giants for 12 years. Last season he hit .213/.326/.350 with eight home runs, 23 RBI, and 25 runs. He had a 12.4 percent walk rate and 27.2 percent strikeout rate.
Pavlovic says the Giants will not push for a reunion with Belt. The team needs to perform better next year and it would be a tough decision to keep Belt given his extensive injury history. The left-handed first baseman is 35 years old and he will be playing until 2023.
