Pegasus 2019: Best Bets, Gulfstream's Killer First Turn, And Accelerate's Battle With City of Light

The field for tomorrow's Pegasus World Cup Invitational is very spotty. Accelerate, City of Light, Seeking the Soul, Gunnevera, Audible, and Bravazo are among the athletes who could be in the running. The race will favor speed and the early establishment of position.

The Bluegrass Wise Man is a Kentucky horseman and owner who has no horses in this year's Pegasus World Cup. He will be in Florida betting it. Bravazo is the favorite. City of Light is 5-2, Seeking the Soul 12-1, Accelerate 9-5, Tom's d'Etat 20- 1, True Timber 30-1000, Gunnevera 8-10, Kukulkan 30, Audible 10-100, Imperative 30 and Pattern Recognition 10/10.

Accelerate and City of Light are going to race each other in the Pegasus Stakes. City has beaten Accelerate once. They are both going for stud at Lane's End in Kentucky. Accelera got the better draw in five holes.

Accelerate is the favorite at Gulfstream. City of Light is second favorite. Neither horse has ever raced at the track before. Bluegrass Wise Man thinks the first turn at this track is a bit of a problem for the horses.

Gulfstream's track favours early position into the first turn. Accelerate's race with City of Light is one of the biggest races of Pegasus 2019. Bluegrass Wise Man says that horses who break well get into position and stay there.

Sadler wants Accelerate to break well in the next race. Bluegrass Wise Man says that in racing, it's impossible to do that all the time.

Gunnevera is the heavy favorite in Pegasus 2019. Bluegrass Wise Man thinks Gunnever a good run in Breeders' Cup. Accelerate is going to face City of Light.
