Pelicans vs. Grizzlies NBA expert prediction and odds for Monday, Feb. 12 (Bet on NOL

The New Orleans Pelicans are favored on the road on Monday night when they the Southwest Division leaders take on an injury-riddled Memphis Grizzlies team.

The Grizzlies have struggled as home underdogs this season, going 6-10 ATS and losing those games by an average margin of 9.3 points per game.

Can the team turn that around tonight?

New Orleans would love to pick up another win in a close Western Conference race, but the team may not have Zion Williamson (questionable) who missed the team’s last game.

Let’s break down the odds from Bet365 for this game, as well as a great promo offer to consider before betting on this matchup:

New Orleans Pelicans

Zion Williamson: Williamson missed the team’s last game against Portland, but he’s been great as of late when he’s been able to suit up. The former No. 1 overall pick has scored at least 21 points in five of his last six games, averaging 24.8 points per game over that stretch.

Memphis Grizzlies

Jaren Jackson Jr.: With so many players banged up for Memphis, JJJ is going to have to lead the Grizzlies on offense. Over his last 11 games, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year is averaging 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.

I lean with the Pelicans (5-7 against the spread as road favorites) to cover in this game despite a shaky record in this position.

Memphis is coming off an outright loss to the Charlotte Hornets, who didn’t have LaMelo Ball in that game and have been downright awful all season long.

New Orleans has not been great covering the spread as a favorite – although it has been as an underdog – but this is a favorable matchup with a Memphis team down several starters.

Unfortunately for the Pelicans, they ran into this Memphis team twice in the limited games that Morant played this season, losing both of those matchups. However, the team won the first meeting in Memphis by seven points with Bane healthy.

I think with the Grizz down several players, New Orleans is the side to bet.

Pick: Pelicans -9 (-110)
