Pete Rose writes letter to MLB commissioner Rob Manfred asking for another chance at Hall of Fame

Pete Rose was banned from Major League Baseball in 1989 as part of a settlement with then-Commissioner Bart Giamatti over his gambling habits. Rose is now 81 and wants to be reinstated. He is baseball's all-time leader in hits with 4,256 and a career batting average of .303. He was denied reinstatement in 2015. The commissioner denied his application in the first place. In his letter to Rob Manfred, Rose apologizes for his past actions and pleads for a chance to enter the Hall of Fame.
