Ireland's team was very disciplined during the year. They played 11 Tests, a three-match series in New Zealand and a challenging autumn without falling foul of any referee. Only twice did a referee have cause to reach for his pocket, Jaco Peyper and Wayne Barnes. France's only red card was against the Springboks in Marseille. Australia's solitary try came from Bundee Aki. France and Ireland play each other in Dublin on February 11th. The match assumes great significance. It will be a clash of the first and second ranked teams. Ireland and France are playing for the Six Nations title.
