PGA Tour, DraftKings break ground on sports book at TPC Scottsdale

DraftKings is opening a sportsbook at TPC Scottsdale in 2023. It will be the first at a PGA Tour site. The city of Scottingdale will receive money from DraftKings. Sports betting was legalized in Arizona in 2018. Since then, sports books have opened at Footprint Center and adjacent to Chase Field. Pga Tour has benefited from the sports betting boom. For the city, it's more certain. Draft Kings will pay for the construction. They hope to attract tourists from places where sports gambling is not legal. In the meantime, they hope the location will appeal to a different type of consumer.
