Pirates won 1-0 against the Reds despite not recording a hit. Hunter Greene was outstanding for the Pirates. He was in his seventh start and recorded a career-high nine strikeouts. Greene allowed five walks and was eventually benched. The team won without a single hit for first time since the Dodgers on June 28, 2008. The game was won by David Bednar in the ninth. José Quintana was also outstanding. His performance was overshadowed by his ejection. It was his third win of the season. For the other team, it was their first loss. They didn't have a player hit in their entire team.
