The Brooklyn Nets battled against a tough Philadelphia 76ers stream on Wednesday night, ultimately coming up short in a four-point loss.

Now, the Nets are back in action at home against the Detroit Pistons, who have the worst record in the Eastern Conference at 12-37. The Pistons come into this game on a four-game losing streak, and they should be more focused on the draft lottery this coming offseason than making a run at the playoffs.

The Nets have seen role players like Nicolas Claxton and Seth Curry step up in a big way with Kevin Durant out of the lineup, but can Brooklyn win and cover on the second night of a back-to-back?

The spread for this game opened at Nets -9.5, but it has moved down to 7.5 following Brooklyn’s loss on Wednesday night.

Obviously, this game could change if the Nets sit players on the second night of a back-to-back, but with a clear injury report at this point, I think Brooklyn is the side to back.

The Pistons come into this game off of three straight double-digit losses, and they’re just 11-12-2 against the spread as road dogs this season, losing those games by an average margin of 9.1 points.

Detroit ranks in the bottom five of the league in net rating, offensive rating and defensive rating and I don’t think it will have an answer for Kyrie Irving in this game.

Even though the Nets have struggled a bit without Kevin Durant, they put together an inspiring performance against the 76ers on Wednesday. If Brooklyn’s role players continue to step up, this roster is simply more talented than Detroit’s.
