Qinwen Zheng vs Bernarda Pera – Match Prediction

tennis predictions here. For this match, below are our best two bets that we suggest making on Zheng vs Pera.

Qinwen Zhang to Win 2-0 @ 10/11 (1.91)

Qinwen Zhang is playing some excellent tennis in 2023. In Adelaide, she played both weeks, making the Round of 16 on both occasions and picking up four wins to start the year, including two over Top 30 opponents. She powered through her opening match on Monday, and looks ripe to continue through to the third round as she faces off against a lower ranked opponent here.

First Set Under 8.5 Games @ 19/10 (2.90)

In Zheng’s first round match, she dispatched World No. 86 Dalma Galfi 6-0, 6-2. Chances are, the Chinese 20-year-old will come out swinging again against Bernarda Pera and win the first set in rapid fashion. For this bet to come to fruition she’d need to break the American at least twice and hold her to a score of 6-2 or less—something she’s done seven times already in 2023.

Qinwen Zheng vs Bernarda Pera Preview

With these two bets in mind, here’s a little more background information on these two players ahead of their match on Wednesday.

Qinwen Zheng

Zheng is the latest promising female player to come out of China, and at 20 years of age, is already ranked No.28 in the world. This is just off her career high of No.25, reached in October 2022 when Zheng made the Round of 16 in the San Diego Open. Here, she managed to show her promise t the world by taking a set off World No.1 Iga Swiatek.

As the 29 seed this Australian Open, Zheng will be looking to improve on last year’s result where she lost in the second round.

Bernarda Pera

American Bernarda Pera has been around longer than Zheng, but is currently at her career high ranking of No.41 in the world. The 28-year-old has won two titles, and is in the Australian Open looking to better her third round result achieved in 2018. Her first round match on Monday was a little uncomfortable, with the American winning 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 against Japanese wildcard Moyuka Uchijima.

Qinwen Zheng vs Bernarda Pera Head to Head

Zheng leads the head to head between these two women 1-0. The pair met in the Melbourne 250 in 2022, where a 19-year-old Zheng upset Pera in the second round of qualifying 6-3, 1-6, 7-5.
