Raised Expectations: Panthers among betting favorites for Stanley Cup
The Florida Panthers are one of the betting favorites to win the Stanley Cup this season. The Panthers have won all but a few of their first 18 games. They are 13-2-3 this year and a perfect 10-0 on home ice. Their home start is tied for second all-time. They play the Flyers on Wednesday night. Florida leads the league with 81 goals and its +27 goal differential is second behind Carolina. Interim coach Andrew Brunette took over for Joel Quenneville when the Panthers were 7-1. He believes the team is pushing themselves to be the next one to take the step.
