The 42 members of the SPFL as well as invited sides from the Highland League and Lowland League, have been whittled down to just two in the country's second most important domestic cup competition - last season's 2nd and 3rd placed Scottish Premiership sides Rangers and Aberdeen.

Despite hugely underwhelming domestic and European campaigns so far - 9th with a return of only four wins from 15 and out of the Conference League - Aberdeen have proven they could rough it with some strong opposition. Over their 26 outings ahead of Sunday's final they've notched against Celtic and twice vs 3rd placed St Mirren, along with in each of their eight European outings, racking up 13 in total.
The Reds have encountered this weekend's opposition twice already this term, with both head-to-heads seeing the two teams score, first in a 3-1 victory for Barry Robson's men at Ibrox and then again in a 1-1 draw on home soil. They enter this final with strong belief having recorded a famous victory over Frankfurt on Thursday; their first European group stage victory for 16 years.
