Raptors vs. Clippers same-game parlay predictions Jan. 26: Back L.A. to rout hobbled Toronto side

The Los Angeles Clippers visit the Toronto Raptors in a battle of old versus new.

The pregame narrative: The Raptors have been struggling lately and now Immanuel Quickley is injured. Expect the Clippers to win handily while taking Kawhi Leonard to show out against his former team. Lastly, back Scottie Barnes to carry the extra weight and go over his point prop.

NBA oddsas of 9:05 a.m. on 01/26/2024.

Raptors vs. Clippers same-game parlay

Parlay: Clippers -5.5 + Barnes over 19.5 points + Leonard over 23.5 points (+335)

Clippers -5.5 (-162): The Clippers have a good track record of covering as favourites. They are 22-11 against the spread when given the distinction.

L.A. has won eight of its last 10 and covered in seven of those.

On the other hand, the Raptors have had their post-trade mojo fade, losing three straight with their most recent loss coming against the Grizzlies where they were given a line of -7.5 points at tip-off.

The Clippers are a much stronger team when both sides are healthy but even more so when the Raptors are dealing with injuries. Starting centre Jakob Poeltl, and point guard Quickley have both been ruled out and Toronto is lacking the depth to make up for those losses.

Now would be the time to fade the Raptors.

Other parlay picks

Leonard over 23.5 points (-157): Toronto fans could have a nice throwback tonight as they watch Leonard fill it up at Scotiabank Arena.

In his past two games against the Raptors, the two-time finals MVP scored 24-plus while shooting above 50% from the field in both appearances.

In the most recent one of those meetings earlier in January, Leonard scored 29 on only 18 shots. As long as the volume's there, everything leads to the Klaw having a big night.

Barnes over 19.5 points (-190): It truly is Barnes' team now that Pascal Siakam and O.G. Anunoby have been traded.

Also, with two starters out, the third-year pro could take a lot more shots than he usually does and that's a great recipe for points being scored.

Barnes needed some time to build chemistry with his new teammates but lately, he has putting up numbers people have become accustomed to. He's scored 20-plus in three of the last four games.
