Raptors vs. Jazz prediction and odds for Wednesday, February 1 (Value on total)

The Toronto Raptors have had a disappointing 2022-23 season, and they find themselves as underdogs against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

Toronto is down a key player in forward OG Anunoby, and the Raptors missed him in a low-scoring loss to the Phoenix Suns on Monday night.

The Jazz are No. 9 in the Western Conference right now, and they’re looking to keep themselves in the mix for the No. 6 spot or higher in a crowded playoff picture.

Toronto is 10-7 against the spread as a road dog this season, but it failed to cover in its last game against Phoenix.

Here’s a look at the odds and a pick for Wednesday’s game:

I don’t love either team on the spread, as the Raptors are down a key player in Anunoby and the Jazz are just 7-10-1 ATS as home favorites.

However, I do think there is a little value on the total given how these teams have played as of late, and it starts with pace.

On the season, Utah ranks 15th in the league in pace despite having a high-powered attack, and things are going to get slowed down on Wednesday since Toronto ranks 26th in the NBA in pace.

Over Utah’s last five games, it has gone UNDER 230 points four times. For Toronto, the team has gone UNDER this number in four of its last six matchups.

Even though both of these teams are top-10 in offensive rating this season, I wouldn’t be shocked to see this game go UNDER if the Raps can force a more deliberate pace.
