Raptors vs. Wizards same-game parlay picks: Fade Beal’s playmaking

The Toronto Raptors are playing their second game in Washington in three days, hoping for a win over the Wizards after a tough defeat on Thursday.

The pregame narrative: Bradley Beal isn’t a reliable source of assists, Kyle Kuzma has been taking on a massive offensive load in recent weeks and Pascal Siakam hasn’t done much from behind the line.

Here are our best Raptors vs. Wizards same-game parlay picks for March 4.

NBA odds as of 10:48 a.m. on 03/04/2023.

Raptors vs. Wizards same-game parlay

Parlay: Beal under 6.5 assists + Kuzma over 21.5 points + Siakam under 1.5 rebounds (+480)

Beal under 6.5 assists (-139): This line calls for Beal to exceed his assists average (5.4) by a significant margin, and we’re not buying it.

The veteran has hit this under in 75% of his games this season, and he’s going up against a strong Raptors defence that concedes the seventh-fewest points in the NBA.

The theory behind this line is that Beal will take on more playmaking responsibilities with point guard Monte Morris out, but there isn’t enough evidence to prove that’ll be the case as he’s 3-for-6 against this line in games without Morris.

He managed just five assists against Toronto on Thursday and we’re anticipating a similar outcome here.

Other parlay legs

Kuzma over 21.5 points (-104): This line sits right at Kuzma’s season-long average (21.5), but it’s his recent work that has us optimistic about this prop. Since coming back from an ankle injury in mid-February the forward has been jacking up shots at a prolific rate.

In his last six games, Kuzma has averaged 22 field-goal attempts and cleared this point total four times.

On Thursday he scored 30 points against the Raptors on 24 shots and we expect a similar performance in this one. The Raptors allow the eighth-most points to power forwards like Kuzma per FantasyPros.

Siakam under 1.5 threes (-195): The Raptors’ top scorer occasionally puts together impressive perimeter shooting nights, but they are few and far between. Siakam has either one or zero made threes in 59.2% of his games this season and he’s hit this under more consistently of late.

The forward has failed to produce multiple 3-pointers in 15 of his last 22 games, shooting a mediocre 32.6% from behind the line.

Washington has a slightly above-average defence against threes, conceding 3-pointers at the 13th-lowest rate in the league. We don’t expect Siakam to go off in a neutral matchup like this.
