Real Betis vs. Man Utd Odds, Predictions & Betting Tips

Man Utd jet over to Spain for the return-leg of their Europa League last-16 tie against Real Betis, which takes place at the Benito Villamarin Stadium, live on BT Sport 1 at 5.45pm.

Man Utd have the cushion of a 4-1 lead from the first-leg, a game in which they had four different goalscorers and accumulated 25 shots, 13 of which were on target.

I've delved into the betting markets and supplied my best two tips for Thursday's action below.

After lifting the Carabao Cup last month, Man Utd will be hungry for further glory in both the Europa League and FA Cup in what would represent an extremely impressive debut season for Erik ten Hag.

The Dutchman will undoubtedly have one eye on Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final clash against Fulham, however, I still think he will start with a strong team in Spain in order to avoid a shock comeback and complete the task at hand.

Since losing to Real Sociedad in September, United have won seven and drawn one of their Europa League games. Their away form, on the whole, hasn't been as strong, picking up two wins from their last six trips in all competitions, which includes that infamous 7-0 defeat at Liverpool the last time they ventured away from Old Trafford.

Last week's 4-1 defeat was Real Betis' first loss in this season's competition. It came either side of league draws against Real Madrid and Villarreal, while prior to that Manuel Pellegrini’s side had enjoyed a three game winning streak.

United have been installed as the 21/20 favourites to record the win, Real Betis are 13/5 to be victorious in 90 minutes but out at 45/1 (SBK) to conjure up an astonishing comeback and reach the last-18. Meanwhile, a draw is priced at 3/1.

Real Betis vs Man Utd Tips

Marcus Rashford Over 1.5 Shots On Target

No player has scored more goals (5) or had more Shots On Target (16) than Marcus Rashford in this season's Europa League.

The Man Utd star is in the form of his life, netting 18 goals in 23 games since 21st December.

He scored the opener in last week's 4-1 win and has previously found the back of the net away to Spanish sides Barcelona, Celta Vigo, Valencia, and Granada.

Rashford recorded at least two Shots On Target in five of his seven matches in the competition, which is a line (Over 1.5) that I'm backing him to cross on Thursday at 13/10 with UniBet.

The first-leg was pretty one-sided but I'm envisioning a far more competitive clash over at the Benito Villamarin Stadium.

Real Betis simply have to go for it as they bid to overturn a three-goal deficit while Man Utd can pace themselves given the margin of their advantage.

Betis have only been defeated in one of their last eight home games in the Europa League and in their last league home game they held title-chasing Real Madrid to a goalless draw.

Man Utd's away form hasn't been quite as superior as their results at Old Trafford, winning just two of their last six outings, which includes a 2-2 draw against Barcelona in their last visit to Spain.

The 3/1 price on offer definitely looks like decent value here.
