Real Madrid chasing unprecedented ‘pure Sextuple’

Real Madrid are chasing the Sextuple. They have won the European Super Cup and are aiming to win the other five major competitions. The culmination would be on 10 June if they make it to the Champions League final. If they are successful, it would become the first time that any team has won a Sextonple in the same season.

Madrid beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 in the European Super Cup. Alaba and Benzema scored for the new European champions. Casemiro was the MVP in his last game as a Real Madrid player.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are level on 38 points at the halfway stage of La Liga. Real Sociedad are third on 29 points. The return match at Camp Nou is on 19 March.

Spanish Super Cup will be played next week in Saudi Arabia. Madrid must beat Valencia in the semi-finals and then play the winner of Betis vs. Barcelona in Sunday's final. If successful, Madrid would retain the title and break a curse.

Real Madrid beat Cacereño 0-1 in their opening game in the Copa del Rey. Madrid advance to the Round of 16. The quarter finals are concentrated over two consecutive weeks. First leg of the semi-finals will be postponed because it coincides with the Club World Cup (8 February) and the return is scheduled for 1 March.

Real Madrid are chasing their eighth world title. They will play in the Club World Cup in Morocco. The semi-final will be on 7 or 8 February. Wydad Casablanca, Al Hilal, Seattle Sounders, al Ahly, Auckland City and Flamengo are the other participants.

The Champions League is the most important competition for Real Madrid. Madrid are aiming for their 15th title. They play Liverpool in the Last 16 on 21 February. The return leg will be played at the Bernabéu on 15 March.
