Real Madrid star offers hilarious response when asked if he can become top-scorer in La Liga

Rodrygo believes he needs to beat Karim Benzema to become the top scorer in La Liga. The 21-year-old has scored three goals and created two assists in his four La Laiga appearances so far this season.

Rodrygo is fifth in the Spanish top-flight goalscoring charts. He is still behind Robert Lewandowski's tally of eight. Rodryga mentions his teammate Karim Benzema as a possible winner of the Ballon d'Or this year. Benzemas scored 27 goals last season and played a key role in Real Madrid's Champions League and La Liga double.

Benzema is the current top scorer in La Liga.

Real Madrid have started their season with nine wins out of nine. Rodrygo and Federico Valverde have been particularly impressive.

Valverde has scored in his previous three games. Ancelotti spoke about the two attackers after their 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid.

"The two players are special both technically and physically. We are all delighted with how they're doing."

Valverde and Rodrygo scored as Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid 2-0. Madrid are now top of La Liga. Benzema has missed the team's previous three fixtures.
