Rockets vs. Kings prediction and odds for Wednesday, January 11

The Houston Rockets have lost seven consecutive games and nine of their last 10 matchups heading into Wednesday’s showdown with the Sacramento Kings.

The Kings, who are coming off a dominant win over the Orlando Magic in their last game, are still the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference.

Houston is in the bottom three of the league in offensive rating, defensive rating and net rating this season, and they have the fewest wins in the NBA. The Rockets are a young team in the middle of a rebuild, and that’s led to them struggling on most nights this season.

Sacramento is looking to slide into a playoff spot in the West this season, and the team is 12-9 straight up at home this season.

De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis will be a lot to handle for Houston’s weak defense, but can the Kings cover the current spread for this game?

Rockets vs. Kings odds, spread and total

Rockets vs. Kings prediction and pick

Houston has really struggled as a road underdog this season, going 8-11 against the spread and losing those games by an average margin of 9.2 points.

The Kings aren’t a great defensive team, but they rank fourth in the NBA in offense and play at the fourth fastest tempo in the league.

Houston is going to have no chance to compete with that on offense, especially if the Kings have it going at home tonight.

The Rockets have lost five of their last seven games by 11 or more points, and I have very little confidence that this young team can shoot with the Kings tonight.
