Rockets vs. Warriors NBA expert prediction and odds for Monday, Nov. 20 (Bet Houston)

The Houston Rockets are off to a strong start this season, going 6-5 through their first 11 games, and they have a chance to win again on Monday against a struggling Golden State Warriors team. 

Golden State comes into this game on a six-game losing streak, and the team won’t have Draymond Green (suspension) for this matchup. 

Houston is playing the second game of a back-to-back on Monday after the team lost by one on the road against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night. 

Despite the Warriors’ struggles, they’re heavily favored at home in this game. Should bettors trust the Warriors to cover, or can Houston keep this close?

Alperen Sengun: Is Sengun officially here? The former first-round pick is averaging 20.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game while shooting 59.1 percent from the field. Sengun’s leap has helped the Rockets look like one of the better teams in the West early on this season. 

Dillon Brooks: Brooks will likely draw the assignment on Curry, but he’s also coming off a 24-point game against the Lakers on Sunday. A solid defender, Brooks could make things tough on Golden State if he finds a way to slow Curry down. 

Golden State Warriors

Stephen Curry: The Warriors would be nowhere without Curry this season, and they lost both of the matchups he missed with a knee injury. Curry is averaging 30.2 points per game, but the rest of the Golden State offense has underperformed through the first few weeks of the season. 

Houston is one of the best teams against the spread this season, going 7-3-1 through its first 11 games. 

The reason? Houston is the No. 4 defense in the NBA this season, which could be huge against a Golden State team that hasn’t gotten consistent scoring out of anyone but Curry this season. 

The Warriors are just 19th in the NBA in net rating, and they’ve actually struggled a lot at home, going 1-6 in seven games. 

I don’t think Houston should be this big of an underdog in this matchup, so I’ll gladly take the seven points with the Warriors reeling.
