Kentucky lost to Saint Peter's in the NCAA Tournament last season. The team is still very talented and has a good track record. The Wildcats are expected to be a contender in 2022-23 season, when they will be playing in their first SEC Championship.

Kentucky finished 2021-22 with a record of 26-8-14-4. They lost in the first round to St. Peter's.

Kentucky has won the SEC for the last 13 seasons under John Calipari.

Kentucky has lost key players in TyTy Washington, Kellan Grady, Keion Brooks, Davion Minz and Keon Brooks.

Oscar Tshiebwe (17.4 Pts, 15.2 Reb), Sahvir Wheeler (10.1 Pt, 6.9 Reb) and CJ Frederick (DNP) are key players for Kentucky.

Kentucky has signed 5-Star G Carson Wallace, 5.5-star SF Chris Livingston, 4- star C Ugonna Kingsley Onyenso, 3- Star G Adou Thiero and 4 Star SF Antonio Reeves.

Kentucky has a new recruiting class. Oscar Tshiebwe was the national player of the year last season. The frontcourt is loaded with talent. Sahvir Wheeler is the only player from last year's team that is returning. Ugonna Kingsley is a 7-footer with the measurables NBA scouts crave in a center. Daimion Collins is Top-20 prospect in the ‘21 cycle. He will play in college weight room. He needs to improve his offensive game. Kentucky has not made it back to the final weekend of NCAA Dance since the historic 2015-16 squad that went undefeated until the semi-final.

Antonio Reeves transferred to Kentucky from Illinois State. He will play a much smaller role at Kentucky. He is a good shooter and has a solid handle. Kentucky has a lot of talent coming to the team. Tshiebwe and Wheeler are great additions to their team, but they need to improve their secondary players to compete with T shiebew. Calipari's team needs to win more games to keep up with the other teams.
