Royal Ascot 2023 is here and the opening day looks to be a real treat for racing fans with the top jockeys set for promising rides.

Buick and Dettori look like fighting it out in the first race of the day at Royal Ascot's opener.

The Queen Anne Stakes over 1m features Inspiral and Modern Games who can't quite be separated in the betting, but open the door for either one of them to get off the mark immediately.

Moore then has the favourite in the second race of the day, the Coventry Stakes, River Tiber.

Buick and Dettori are also well up there with chances though and should share the spoils in the first two races.

At 3.40pm, the King's Stand Stakes over 5f is an open sprint contest with 19 runners, yet all three jockeys have each-way prices available and leading fancies - Dettori has a big chance with Manaccan, Moore on Twilight Calls and Buick with a huge each-way price on Equilateral.

But they only need one of them to win to help towards the PickYourPunt coming in.

Dettori and Moore have the joint-favourites Chaldean and Paddington for the St James's Palace Stakes at 4.20pm, where the Juddmonte-owned Chaldean is tipped to win.

Buick could spring a surprise with Isaac Shelby in that one though - a horse who's got great form and could step up to this level having only been beaten by a short neck to Marhaba Ya Sanafi in the Group 1 at Longchamp in May.

Moore and Buick are also on board the leaders in the betting for the 5.00pm, on Bring On The Night and Ahorsewithnoname.

The jockeys then have potential of even more winners in the last two races of the day, on Saga, Bolshoi Ballet, King Of Conquest and for the last Vauban, Absurde and Ruling Dynasty - the front three in the betting.
