Royal Ascot had planned to offer £8 million in 2020 but pandemic hit. The Queen Anne Stakes has a prize-fund of $400,000, up from £250,00 last year. Prince Of Wales's Stake has an increase of more than £700, 000.

This year's prize money is 75% of what was planned for 2020. The business will absorb a significant loss this year to support the industry. The pandemic has knocked back the business' financial trajectory by several years. Racecourse chief Guy Henderson hopes to increase the prize amount further in the near future.
