Royal Ascot punters 'fed up' after watching 150/1 shot cause massive upset to win

Royal Ascot punters are fed up after Valiant Force shocked the horse racing world by winning at 150/1 odds at Royal Ascot.

Valiant Force was a long outsider for the Norfolk Stakes, but he was able to hold off the field for a shock win. And while some punters were in the money thanks to their long shot, others were left fuming at the shock upset.

"150/1. Ffs, it’s been an absolute graveyard betting at Royal Ascot," one fan fumed. And a second added: "I’m fed up of Ascot man..."

"The big odds winners keep coming at Royal Ascot but none bigger than this," a third added. While a fourth tweeted: "What is going on at Ascot this week?!?!"

"What chance has anyone got? Form out the window," a fifth fumed. And another added: "What hope have you got!?"

However, one man that was happy was trainer Adrian Murray, who said: "It’s brilliant, I just cannot believe it. I fell into racing by accident, I’m just speechless.

“We knew he was a nice horse and we couldn’t believe the price. He was only beaten half a length by His Majesty's first time out and he was 150-1 today, it just didn’t make sense! I knew he was much better than that. It’s the stuff of dreams. It’s great for the small man.

“I’ve had some nice jumpers and I love it, I just love racing. ”
