Rugby World Cup 2023: Results, fixtures, schedule in full, how to watch, kick-off times, venues and odds

he Rugby World Cup is in full swing with England making an impressive start to life in Pool D over the weekend.

Steve Borthwick’s side looked on course for another miserable evening in Marseille on Saturday after returning flanker Tom Curry’s third-minute yellow card for head-on-head contact with Pumas full-back Juan Cruz Mallia was upgraded to red following a bunker review.

But physical England were excellent thereafter, with George Ford kicking all of their points - including three drop goals in seven first-half minutes - en route to an impressive 27-10 victory that has silenced their critics and given the campaign real lift-off.

Elsewhere over the first three days of action in France, the hosts kicked off their bid for a first title with a rousing defeat of New Zealand’s All Blacks on opening night and defending champions South Africa outmuscled Scotland in Paris.

Wales survived a huge challenge from Fiji amid some refereeing complaints, while Ireland ran 12 tries past Romania and Australia brushed off Georgia for their first win of Eddie Jones’ second spell in charge.

Italy thumped Namibia and Japan were given a solid test by debutants Chile before easing to victory in Toulouse. Here are all the latest results and fixtures for the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
