Ryan Moore on Unquestionable and his four other rides at Longchamp as he targets win for Continuous on Sunday afternoon

Ryan Moore has a busy day ahead on Sunday as he takes to the races in France at Longchamp with five rides.

He will be onboard some huge names and is hoping for a good run with the ever-improving Continuous in the 15:05.

Here, Betfair ambassador Moore goes through his five rides on Sunday.

Unquestionable

We have three in here and they all have their chance.

There were excuses for Unquestionable in the Phoenix Stakes last time, not least that he got a fair old bang in the stalls, and I’d disregard that run and focus on his narrow second to Bucanero Fuerte in the Railway Stakes, a race he could well have won on another day.

The step up to 7f could well suit him. We also have the Gimcrack runner-up Johannes Brahms, who probably found the ground too soft at Doncaster last time, and the unbeaten Henry Adams, who knuckled down to win in first-time headgear at Leopardstown. I’d have happily ridden any of the three, but Unquestionable has probably achieved more to date.

Opera Singer

This Justify half-sister to Hit It A Bomb and Brave Anna , both Group 1 winning juveniles, took a big step forward when winning at the Curragh last time.

She looked a serious filly there and, although the likes of Darnation and Les Pavots clearly have to be respected, I reckon she has a big chance here to follow in the family footsteps. I hope so anyway.

Continuous

You don’t need me to tell you that this is a very open Arc, but a winnable one, so it was probably an easy enough decision to supplement Continuous, for all it wasn’t cheap. He is a tough, honest, straightforward, improving Classic winner with a turn of foot, and I am happy enough with his draw in seven.

He has a lot going for him, but to be honest he does need to step up on the form of his Doncaster win to beat some of these, who currently boast far stronger form lines. But the progression and potential is obviously there.

With that in mind, I think Ace Impact is a bit too short in the betting for me at 3/1, for all he looked very good in the French Derby and will obviously be far sharper than he was in his prep, and I’d personally have the King George 1-2 of Hukum and Westover at the top of the market - though both of their draws present different challenges, I suppose - with Bay Bridge not far behind them.

I think the Ascot King George form is clearly the best on offer here, but I also reckon Bay Bridge is primed to outrun his odds. He is a 1m2f Group 1 winner, and he looked in very good form when winning over this trip at Kempton off a break last time, a race that Enable used as a springboard when winning this in 2018. I wouldn’t underestimate him.

People looking at the form of the Japanese mare Through Seven Seas latest run, a neck second to Equinox, may be best not to take it at face value.

Don’t get me wrong, she is a very nice, progressive mare and I wouldn’t be that surprised if she won an open Arc.

But Hanshin is a tight track and Equinox got shuffled back to near-last on the inside from an early stage and he had to come wide to make his challenge, so maybe she was a little flattered to get so near to that superstar. But you wouldn’t want to be dismissing her, that’s for sure, and it’s not as if she had a trouble-free passage last time, too.

Jackie Oh

She needs to improve to win this but she is progressive, and followed up her impressive Group 3 win with a good second in a Group 2 at the Curragh last time, a race in which she would have finished a lot closer but for meeting plenty of trouble in running.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if she was in the mix here, as she is a coming force.

Aesop’s Fables

I am not sure his draw in 15 is a positive and he has a fair bit to find anyway, but he didn’t run badly when third at the Curragh last weekend, so we will give it a go.
