Barlow is in his third year of his veterinary degree at the University of Nottingham. He will celebrate with a couple of pints later. The 20-year-old has two wins in Italy. His horse ran in a Highland National last year. It was his second win under rules. Sandow Park is the best place to do it.
Penna Rossa won the Pinsent Masons Introductory Juvenile Hurdle for trainer Camilla Poulton. Paulton's daughter Eliza bought the gelded son of Belardo for 5,500 Guineas. Penna Rossi is a half-brother to Jeff Kidder. He beat Havaila by a length and three quarters.
