Scouse horse owner dreams of Grand National runner

John Neild is a scouse horse owner and has a Gold Cup winning horse called Gelding Splash of Ginge. He bought the horse for £20,000 and entered it into the Randox Health Grand National at Aintree on Saturday. Mr Neid is waiting to find out if he makes it from the reserve list into first 40 runners and riders. The 48-year-old used to work as a jockey but he was told he wasn't very good. Now he runs a biofuel company in Kirkby. He used the money he made to buy a horse. His horse's name comes from his childhood dream that he had a Grand Nervoustine horse, called Splash.
