Shan-e-Sikandar cruises to Cup triumph at Karachi Racecourse

Shan-e-Sikandar won the Winner Cup at the Gymkhana race meeting at Karachi Racecourse on Sunday. Kuwait Edition, Robert and Smart Boy also won their races. Airborne, Geo Baba and Lady Challenger were scratched in morning declaration. The race left eight horses in the competition following scratching of Arkedian, Gul Choice and Sassy Gold in. the morning.

Veteran trainer M. Hanif died on Saturday morning. He was laid to rest at Gizri Graveyard later in the day. His trained horse Incredible won the Pakistan Derby in 2014. Robert, his dark bay horse, won second race at the KRC on Sunday.

Shan-e-Sikandar won the Plate Scale V & VI 4½ F at Karachi Racecourse. Burraq (Syed Wajihuddin) won by 7-12. M. Manzoor (Faris) came second, Mamraiz Khan (Croissant) third, Shaista Sanam (7- 12 Asad Aksir) fourth.

Robert, Mamraiz Khan, Choice Of The Day, Kamran II, Piyara Faisal, Asad Aksir, Cracks Man and Adnan Khan won Plate Scale Order III & IV 4½ F. Shan-e-Sikandar won by 4.½ L, 2½ L and 3 L.
