Should Horse Racing Be a Sport of Only Kings?

There are heated discussions on social media about the ownership of horses. Some argue that horse racing should be left in the hands of the wealthy and the super trainers. Others argue it's better for the sport to be run by the small timers. The average Joe can't afford to buy a $1.5 million Gun Runner but he can afford a claimer or allowance runner. Average Joe owners enjoy the experience of watching their horses race. They bring their family and friends to watch the races. They also train their own horses and hire small time or apprentice jockeys. There are more "normal" horses than stakes horses, which is why the latter are so special.
