Sir Ravanelli heads odds for Country Championship qualifier

Local hope Sir Ravanelli is favourite with Ladbrokes.com.au for the opening Qualifier for the Country Championships this afternoon at Tuncurry, which will be run over 1400m.

Terry Evans has had this race in mind for this horse several months and off the back of a first up win at Port Macquarie he looks hard to beat, which the market agrees. Opened $4.60 and remains there.

Optimo is on the second line of betting at $5.50, alongside stablemate Agirlsbestfriend. Imatruestar has clearly been best backed at a price, into $15 from $41.
