SIOUX Nation's first runner, in the first Irish juvenile race of 2022, won in some style. Ocean Quest was bred by Dr Tan Kai Chah and trained by Jessica Harrington. The filly's dam, Gold Zain, was withdrawn from the Goffs February Sale this year. She is a winner in Italy and her first foal was covered last year by Raven’s Pass.
Zain Al Boldan is the dam of the Group 2 Mehl-Mulhens Rennen-German 2000 Guineas winner Poetic Dream. She was trained by Mick Channon and placed in the Listed Oaks Trial Stakes at Lingfield. Zain was sold for €48,000 at the Arqana December Sale in 2015. Aidan O'Brien is keen on a colt by the stallion that he trains, Sioux Nation. Sioux is expected to be champion first season sire this year.
