Six Nations: Five storylines to follow ahead of the final round

France and Ireland are the only two teams left in the running for the 2022 Six Nations Championship. France are set to play England at home on Saturday. Ireland hope to beat Scotland to win the Championship and then take the trophy.

France are chasing a clean sweep of the Six Nations. They beat England 12-10 at Stade de France 12 years ago. France have beaten England on seven of their previous 11 visits to Paris.

England have not enjoyed a vintage campaign, losing to Scotland and Ireland and edging past Wales. They finished fifth in last season's tournament. England's performance against Ireland will have given France food for thought.

Ireland are second in the table after Wales and Italy. They play Scotland in Dublin on Saturday. If they win, they will be top of the standings ahead of France. A defeat would see France crowned champions.

Alun Wyn Jones is available for selection against Italy. He has defied medical predictions twice in the last nine months. Wayne Pivac needs to pick a player who can help him get to the 2023 World Cup. Will Rowlands and Adam Beard have excelled in Jones' absence.

Italy have not won a match in the Six Nations since 2015. They have lost their last 36 Six Euros Tests by an average of 30 points or more. Italy have won the wooden spoon for the seventh consecutive campaign. Wales know that a bonus-point victory could see them into the top three.
