Southampton vs Grimsby Town highlights as Mariners knock out Premier League Saints in FA Cup

Hello and welcome to our live blog for this evening's FA Cup clash between Southampton and Grimsby Town at St Mary's.

Saints are looking to reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup for the third season in a row and take their minds away from their poor Premier League form in the process, having lost 1-0 against Leeds United last weekend to keep them bottom of the table.

Tonight's visitors to St Mary's are currently 16th in League Two, making them the lowest-ranked side left in the competition. The Mariners have knocked out Plymouth Argyle, Cambridge United, Burton Albion and Luton Town to reach the fifth round for the first time since 1993.

Southampton beat Premier League rivals Crystal Palace in the third round and Championship side Blackpool in the last-16 to make it to this stage, with Ruben Selles set to take charge in an FA Cup game for the first time this evening following his appointment as permanent manager this month.
