Christian Wood will come off the bench for the Mavericks this season. Frank Vogel will visit the Mavs in training camp for a couple of days. Gregg Popovich doesn't believe his team can win the championship this year. CJ McCollum's contract with the Pelicans is declining structure. He will earn $33.3 million in 2024/25 and $30.7 million from 25/26. He was let go by L.A. in the spring. The focus is on player development and growth for Pop. It's like a new baby. They want to give it all it needs to develop properly.
