Sports Betting Continues to Hit Jackpot; Baseball Wagers Cited as Big Favorite
August was a great month for sports betting in Cripple Creek. The total handle for August 2022 was $290 million. Baseball won the month with $117.8 million in bets. Tennis came second with $29 million, basketball with$20 million and soccer with 18 million wagers. Online sports wager is the preferred method for placing bets by Coloradoans. The state collected $1.9 million from sports bets in August, which is a 66.83% increase over the previous month. Colorado Division of Gaming reports that Cipple creek's coin-in numbers are close to the $208 million mark.
