Sports betting takes over Spokane casinos for Super Bowl 2024

Both Northern Quest Casino and the Spokane Tribe Casino expect record numbers in sports betting for the Super Bowl in 2024.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Super Bowl gets more bets than any other game and that's no different at Spokane's local casinos. For the past two Super Bowls, people in the Inland Northwest have flocked to the Turf Club Sportsbook at Northern Quest in an effort to make some money on the biggest game of the year.

"We definitely have big money coming in," Tim Nortz, the sportsbook manager at Northern Quest said. "We're gonna get slammed with bets tomorrow, we'll be slammed right leading up right to the to the big kickoff," Nortz said.

According to the American Gaming Association, nearly 68 million people are expected to bet on this year's game.

The Spokane Tribe Casino has a specific betting booklet just for the game. Props bets are focused on specific moments of the game, such as the coin toss or how many touchdowns a specific player will score.

Jeff Hodges, a sportsbook supervisor at Spokane Tribe Casino said, "It is probably the most busy, busy weekend of the sports season. We have over 2000 bets in this little booklet for prop bets alone,"

The Spokane Tribe Casino says they expect a 200% increase in Super Bowl bets compared to last year. In average, the Spokane Tribe Casino averages 50,000 bets a month.
