Beth Goetz has been named Deputy Director of Athletics and Chief Operating Officer at the University of Iowa. She replaces Barbara Burke, who will retire at end of the 2022-23 academic year. Goetz has worked at Ball State University since May 2018 as Director and supervised 19 Division I Intercollegiate sports teams. Ball Stations won 10 Mid-American Conference championships since Goetsch was named athletics director. The Cardinals placed third in Reese Trophy standings in 2021-22. Goertz was also named by the Indianapolis Business Journal as one of its 2021 Women of Influence.
