It’s Round 24 of Super League action this weekend, with two games being shown live on Sky Sports from Wigan and Warrington.
Hull Kingston Rovers v Catalans Dragons (Friday, 8pm)
Hull KR coach Willie Peters has named an unchanged 21-man squad from last week’s thrilling 52-10 win over Leigh.
Meanwhile, Steve McNamara has made two changes to his Catalans side that lost 34-0 to Wigan last time out. Tom Johnstone and Siosiua Taukeiaho are replaced by Matthieu Laguerre and Jordan Dezaria.
Hull KR: Ryan, Opacic, Kenny-Dowall, Hall, Parcell, King, Linnett, Minchella, Litten, Kennedy, Batchelor, Storton, Keinhorst, Lewis, Milnes, Hadley, Senior, Luckley, Aydin, Walker, Schneider.
Catalans: Mourgue, Davies, Keighran, Laguerre, Yaha, May, Pearce, McMeeken, McIlorum, Bousquet, Whitley, Seguier, Garcia, Da Costa, Goudemand, Navarrete, Chan, Romano, Dezaria, Ma’u, Tomkins.
Prediction: Tough game to call, this. Hull KR enjoyed a fine win this week whilst Catalans will be wanting to bounce back this week. I’ll go with the Dragons by 8.
Leigh Leopards v Huddersfield Giants (Friday, 8pm)
Leigh could welcome back versatile forward Frankie Halton following a three-month lay-off with a torn pectoral muscle.
The Ireland international, who played in last year’s World Cup, suffered the injury on his Leigh debut in a 30-12 win over Warrington on May 26.
However, the Leopards will be without half-back Ben Reynolds for Friday’s clash with Huddersfield.
Giants boss Ian Watson has made one change to his side that beat Leeds 21-12 on Sunday, with Harvey Livett replacing injured half-back Olly Russell.
Leigh: Hardaker, Briscoe, Chamberlain, Charnley, Mellor, Lam, Amone, Ipape, Mulhern, Wardle, Hughes, Asiata, Nakubuwai, O’Brien, Davis, O’Donnell, Seumanufagai, Halton, Gildart.
Huddersfield: Connor, Marsters, Naiqama, Bibby, Lolohea, Fages, Hill, Peats, Greenwood, McQueen, Yates, English, Ikahihifo, Wilson, Cudjoe, Livett, Halsall, Ashworth, Hewitt, Pryce, Milner.
Prediction: After tasting two defeats since their Wembley heroics, Leigh will be wanting to return to winning ways – but they come up against a Huddersfield side who want to make the play-offs. I’ll go with the Leopards by 10.
Wigan Warriors v Salford Red Devils (Friday, 8pm, Sky Sports Action)
Wigan will be without key prop Tyler Dupree for their clash with Salford after the England international failed a head injury assessment in their win over Catalans. He is replaced by youngster Harvey Makin.
Kallum Watkins has been included in Salford’s 21-man squad. He sustained a knee injury in last week’s 20-0 win over Wakefield, with coach Paul Rowley saying after the game he would go for scans – but he has been named this week.
Wigan: Field, French, King, Wardle, Marshall, Cust, Smith, Powell, Byrne, Farrell, Smithies, Ellis, Pearce-Paul, Shorrocks, Mago, O’Neill, Miski, Hill, Nsemba, Hampshire, Makin.
Salford: Brierley, Sio, Watkins, Lafai, Burgess, Croft, Sneyd, Ormondroyd, Ackers, Vuniyayawa, Dixon, Stone, Partington, Atkin, Addy, Sidlow, Bourouh, Williams, Hellewell, Cross, Singleton.
Prediction: Salford will want to keep up their winning momentum as they target the play-offs but Wigan put in their best performance of the season last weekend. I’ll tip the Warriors by 10.
