Two new franchises Lucknow and Ahmedabad have been added to the tournament. A mega auction is also set to take place on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru. TATA Group is the new sponsor of the competition.

SLC secretary Mohan de Silva confirms that they will host IPL in Sri Lanka.
