Staff Predictions for 2022 Pittsburgh Pirates: Noah Wright
The Pittsburgh Pirates start their season on April 7th against the St. Louis Cardinals. The home opener is on 12th April. I predict the team's MVP, most valuable player, team Cy Young, Rookie of the Year, breakout position player and pitcher, surprise player.
Bryan Reynolds is the obvious choice for team MVP. He was one of baseball's most productive hitters last season. His defensive metrics are mixed, but he's a great hitter. He's playable in centerfield and he did show noticeable improvement defensively the last two seasons. If worse comes to worst, the Pittsburgh Pirates can promote Travis Swaggerty and move Reynolds to left field. Noah Wright is a staff prediction for 2022 Pittsburgh Pirate's MVP, while Oneil Cruz is not.
