Lucas Bjerregaard is playing in the Spanish Open. He is 80-1 to win the tournament. The Dane was 12th on his Club de Campo de Madrid debut last year. Bjersreg aard won his maiden Tour title in neighbouring Portugal.

Tommy Fleetwood finished in 22nd place in Dunhill last week. He is making his debut at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid this week and is playing in his first Spanish Open. Min Woo Lee is inconsistent and tied 39th on his Madrid debut last year.

The Spanish Open takes place at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid. The prize money is €1.75m. Top 65 players qualify for round three. Highest-ranked players in field are Jon Rahm, Tommy Fleetwood, Adri Arnaus, Pablo Larrazabal, Min Woo Lee and Rafael Cabrera Bello. Last two DP World Tour events staged in Spain were won by a Spaniard. The last three Spanish Opens were also won in that way. Javier Arana designed Black Course at the Club has hosted 13 European Tour tournaments.
