With the fight just days away now, the famous Kronk Gym trainer is just one of the names from the boxing world who has weighed-in with their prediction on how the Joshua vs Franklin fight will play out.

Speaking in a recent interview with iD Boxing, the world class boxing coach admitted that it is a tough fight for Joshua and that Franklin often performs betting on fight night than he does during training camp and in sparring:

“It’s a very interesting fight and I just want to be a fan to watch it. I know Anthony Joshua has a new trainer in Derrick James – a friend of mine who I think highly of as a trainer.

“I’m very good friends with the coaches of Jermaine. We were in training camp together last time with Jermaine and he trained hard, but he never looked the best in the gym.

“He never looked good to me really in the gym at all. But when he went out there and fought he was a different person. I’d rather have a fighter who looks like s**t in the gym but then goes out on fight night and shines.

“I hope Jermaine goes out there motivated and gives it his best shot like he did last time. If he learns from the mistakes from his last fight, that could potentially make him prevail this time.”

As of today, Jermaine Franklin is still the huge underdog to win the fight with the best sports betting apps. However, the majority of people will be back ‘AJ’ to win the fight of course. He is currently priced around 1/10 with the best UK sports betting sites to get back to winning ways this weekend from the O2 Arena.

What a fight we have on our hands from the capital on Saturday night. Finger’s crossed the actual fight lives up to the hype!
