Suns @ Grizzlies tips, picks and prop bets: Durant to dominate in crushing Phoenix win

If you’re scratching around for something to do while you’re enjoying a Friday evening tipple, then viewers in the UK will get a rare sight of the Suns.

Friday’s early tip-off time sees the Memphis Grizzlies (3-11) welcome the scorching-hot Phoenix Suns (9-6) and their five-game win streak to FedEx Forum.

It may be early in the season, but the Suns don’t have time to take their foot off the gas. They sit 2.5 games back from the Timberwolves in the Western Conference.

Devin Booker is finally healthy and they have to make the most of every minute he spends on the court.

On the other hand, the Grizzlies have looked lost without Ja Morant, but equally, the absence of Steven Adams and multiple others have derailed them.

To make matters worse, the NBA’s only winless home team may be without chief threat Desmond Bane this evening.

Phoenix has scored between 120 and 140 in each of their five wins and have a starting five all likely to put up 10+, with Booker averaging 28.1ppg and Kevin Durant 31.4ppg.

Memphis are struggling to breach 110 regularly and average 106ppg at home, led by Bane with 25.6.

Throw in the absence of Marcus Smart and Memphis could be without their starting guards and small forward, backups Luke Kennard and Xavier Tilman and two of three options at center.

If Phoenix are at their best then you have to assume it’ll be hard for Memphis to keep the score to single digits.

The Suns could post a big score tonight so it’s a surprise to see Kevin Durant’s points total below his season average.
