6:00AM Wigan Warriors vs Huddersfield Giants @ DW Stadium, Wigan

The World Champion Wigan Warriors are riding high after knocking off the Penrith Panthers in the World Club Challenge last weekend.

Although it was under controversial circumstances, there is no denying Matty Peet’s men were up for the challenge and were relentless in their try line defence but there is concern about whether there will be a hangover effect.

Huddersfield have shown much improvement on last season and I expect them to put up a fight.

6:00AM Warrington Wolves vs Castleford Tigers @ Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington

Warrington enjoyed their first win under head coach Sam Burgess last weekend in a controversial defeat of Hull FC.

Castleford narrowly went down with just 12 men to a gritty Salford side who have surprised many fans this early in the season.

Warrington will again be without their international halfback George Williams.

6:00AM St Helens vs Leigh Leopards @ Totally Wicked Stadium, St Helens

The Saints sit atop of the Super League ladder winning both of their opening round matchups with ease and have only conceded one try.

Leigh are fresh after a week off and will be hoping their new halves pairing of Lachlan Lam and Matt Moylan can find some form following their disappointing round 1 loss to Huddersfield.

Saints just look too strong this early in the season.

1:00AM Leeds Rhinos vs Catalans Dragons @ AMT Headingley Stadium, Leeds

The Rhinos have had a clunky start to the season implementing a new spine of Brodie Croft, Lachlan Miller, Andy Ackers and Matt Frawley which just hasn’t clicked yet.

On the other hand, the Dragons are 2-0 and their new halves combination of Theo Fages and Jordan Abdull are on fire.

Ex-NRL players Tariq Sims has scored three tries in his first two matches and is a cheeky ATS option @ $4.25.

Salford have surprised a few fans with their form this early in the season after securing a hefty transfer fee to part ways with Brodie Croft and Andy Ackers.

Meanwhile, Hull KR have won both of their opening fixtures and showed improvement on their round 1 performance over the weekend.

It’s too hard to bet against the magic of Hull KR sensation Mikey Lewis in this match up, I expect they’ll be good for the spread (-5.5) but I’m just not sure about what Salford side will show up on the day.

It’s been a tough start for both sides in 2024.

Hull FC have been devastated in both of their opening rounds due to having multiple players sent off as part of the League’s crackdown on head contact.

And the newly promoted London Broncos have had the schedule from hell facing the Saints and Catalans in the first two rounds.

Expect Hull FC to get their first win.
